









Press Conference of Royalcover’s Acquisition of Shanghai Whinny – Double Brands Strategy Initiation Kicked off in SH

At the conference, Wu Zhensheng, President of Royalcover, announced the official acquisition of “Shanghai Whinny”, a Shanghai local brand with a history of 16 years. “The first acquisition in the industry” is a symbol of a brand new era for the Chinese textile industry. After the acquisition, “Royalcover” will strengthen the core competitiveness of both Royalcover and Whinny and further consolidate its leading position in the home textile business.
During the conference, The chairman of the company Mr. Wu Zhensheng said: “The acquisition shows “Royalcover’s” strength as the new leader in the industry. After the acquisition, Royalcover will stick to the “independent development” principle for the two brands, which will be operated and managed by two independent teams. “Royalcover” will continue to stick to the highest standard in design and quality, as well as “Italian nobility”. “Whinny” will preserve its brand orientation as “an exquisite life in New Shanghai” and spread the New Shanghai style to thousands of households in China. The company will create a brand new plan for the two brands in design, R&D, production and terminal operation management in order to connect, integrate and enhance resources. The two brands will constantly compete for consumers’ preference in high-end home textile brands.
Fan Tingyi, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the China Home Textile Association, Jin Chengsheng, Vice Director of the Standing Committee of Jiaxing, Dong Miaohu, Deputy Secretary and Warden of Nanhu District of Jiaxing, and hundreds of other distinguished guests witnessed the initiation of the Royalcover and Whinny double-brand strategy. Jin Chengsheng, Vice Director of the Standing Committee of Jiaxing, Wu Zhensheng, President of Royalcover, Miss Qiqi, “top model in Asia”, Ren Dahua, “Hong Kong Film Award winner”, and Massimo Nanni switched on the special machine on stage. After the ceremony, the two brands signed contracts with Massimo Nani and Miss Qi to hire them as the “Design Consultant of Royalcover” and Art Consultant of “Whinny, respectively”.
Massimo Nanni, Design Consultant of “Royalcover”, is from Italy and has designed for many world-famous brands. Besides preserving the brand’s consistent “Italian style”, that Mr. Nanni has joined the company means that he will bring the latest fashion elements and fabric to home textile products and promote “Royalcover” as the model of Italian fashion in the home textile industry. “Whinny” has hired Miss Qiqi to be their Art Consultant. Born in Shanghai, Qiqi is an original Shanghai lady. In recent years, she has made great achievements in design and is recognized as a prominent “fashion designer”. With Qiqi as their Art Consultant, Shanghai local brand Whinny will create a perfect interpretation of the “exquisite home life in New Shanghai” Theme. During the event, “Whinny” exhibited its latest product of 2011 – “Early Spring in Shanghai” -- which is Qiqi’s first artwork as well as the first cross-field cooperation in China’s home textile industry.
